The fastest way to model a fitted wardrobe for 3ds Max
Short answer: design the wardrobe in Designer Lab, a browser app, and turn on its live link. It builds the wardrobe in your open 3ds Max scene (2023 to 2026), every panel at its real size, one object per section, ready for materials. Change it in the browser and the scene follows.

How to do it, step by step
- Set the wall. Type the width and height, or pick the wall from your DXF or OBJ floor plan.
- Choose the type. Fitted, walk-in, corner or freestanding: the sections are laid out for you.
- Fill each section. Hanging, shelves, drawers, shoes, a desk or a vanity. Drag an edge to change a width.
- Pick doors and handles. Hinged or sliding, the door style and the handle, for the whole run or one section.
- Turn on the live link. Drag Designer Lab Link into 3ds Max once; from then on the scene follows every change.
Modelling by hand vs Designer Lab

| Workshop drawings | Drawn again in CAD | PDF set and DXF from the same model |
| Cut list | Counted by hand | CSV of every panel and its size |
| Client changes | Rebuild part of the scene | Change it in the browser; 3ds Max follows |
