Terms of service
Draft — to be reviewed. This text is a working draft and is not yet in force.
Last updated: 2 November 2026
These terms cover your use of Designer Lab, a browser-based design tool for interior designers, at designerlab.app and app.designerlab.app (“Designer Lab”). Designer Lab is made and run by Elevate Studio, Ramallah, Palestine (“we”, “us”). By making an account you agree to these terms.
1. Your account
- You need an account to use Designer Lab. Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once at hello@designerlab.app if you think someone else is using it.
- While Designer Lab is in beta, we may approve new accounts by hand and may decline an account.
2. Free trial
A new account can try Designer Lab free for 30 days, with everything the Pro plan has: every design area, every export (PDF, DXF, OBJ and the cut list) with no watermark, unlimited cloud projects and the 3ds Max live link. Sharing projects with a studio team comes with the Studio plan only. No payment details are needed.
When the trial ends, nothing is charged and nothing moves you to a paid plan by itself. Your trial projects stay in your account, the 3ds Max live link stops, and you need a paid plan to keep designing. If you choose a plan, its price and billing period are shown before you pay.
3. Plans, payment and renewal
- Paid plans (Pro and Studio) are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly in advance. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page and exclude VAT and sales tax, which Paddle adds where they apply.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We will tell you in advance before a price change applies to you.
- You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund policy.
- A Studio plan covers up to the number of designers shown on the pricing page. Each designer needs their own account.
4. Your designs
- Your designs, drawings and exports are yours. We claim no ownership of them.
- You give us permission to store and process your projects only as needed to run Designer Lab for you (for example, saving them to the cloud and showing them to you).
- Keep your own copies of important work. Designer Lab can export your projects as files at any time.
5. Drawings are a design aid
Designer Lab helps you produce drawings, cut lists and models, but it does not replace your professional judgement. Check all dimensions on site before manufacture. Drawings and cut lists are not for construction until you, or the workshop making the piece, have checked and signed them off.
- You are responsible for measuring the site, for checking each size, clearance and specification, and for what is made or installed from your designs.
- We are not responsible for costs that come from measurements, drawings or cut lists that were not checked.
6. Fair use
- Do not share your account, resell access, or try to get round the limits of Designer Lab.
- Do not copy, reverse engineer, decompile or take apart the Designer Lab software, or make a product that copies it, except where the law allows this and cannot be excluded.
- Do not use Designer Lab to break the law or to harm others, and do not upload material you have no right to use.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why.
7. Our software and names
- Designer Lab, its software, its door and handle designs, its drawing layouts and its website are owned by Elevate Studio or the people who license them to us. © 2026 Elevate Studio. Your plan gives you the right to use them while it lasts; it does not transfer ownership.
- 3ds Max is a trademark of Autodesk, Inc. Corona is a trademark of Chaos Software. Other names belong to their owners. Designer Lab is not affiliated with or endorsed by them; we use their names only to say what Designer Lab works with.
8. The live link (Designer Lab Link)
Designer Lab Link is a small file you add to 3ds Max on your own computer. It accepts connections only from your own computer (127.0.0.1), and only for the account it was downloaded for. It builds and updates the design in your open scene. Keep your own backups of important 3ds Max scenes; we are not responsible for scene work lost through the link.
9. Supplier pilot
- We are running a pilot with a small number of kitchen and furniture companies, whose products may appear in Designer Lab. Each supplier in the pilot agrees its own terms with us in writing. The pilot makes no promise of orders, sales or income to anyone.
- Product details, prices and codes from a supplier are given by that supplier, who is responsible for keeping them right. Check them with the supplier before you order.
- We share a design with a supplier only when you choose to share it, and we do not give suppliers your personal data unless you ask us to.
10. The service
We work to keep Designer Lab available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be free of interruptions or errors. We may change or improve features over time. If we ever stop offering Designer Lab, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your projects.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Apart from that, our total liability to you for any claim about Designer Lab is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost work.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will email you before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws in force in Palestine, and the courts of Ramallah hear any dispute, unless the law of the country you live in gives you a right to bring it there.
